Choosing The Best DJ: Quality vs. Cost

Never Sacrifice Quality For The Price Of A Good DJ

Are you looking for the best DJ in the Charlotte area? A quality DJ for your event may cost you a little more up front but will pay off for you in the end.

This week's post comes from DJ Creativity, Founder, and CEO of Boss Playa Productions.  "At the end of an event, I'd like the guests to be exhausted from dancing!" DJ Creativity is known for infusing any event with energy and cool vibes, while always keeping the client's musical preferences front and center in his music selection. However, this is not what he experienced as a guest this past weekend.

Let me start by saying
I'm not one of those DJs who hates on another DJ, particularly a good DJ. When I hear a good DJ, I always give credit where credit is due. Recently, I attended an event with my wife and upon arrival I could hear the bass pumping throughout the venue. At that time, the venue was still kind of empty so I took the opportunity to snoop around and check out the equipment being used by the hired entertainment. I was quite impressed by the top quality sound system, especially the bass subs. Based on what I saw, I thought that the event would be great.
After about thirty minutes, I realized that quality equipment does not equal quality service. People quickly filled the room anticipating a night of dancing and enjoyment. As I looked around, I could see that I was not the only one perplexed by the lack of sound quality once the volume was increased to accommodate the crowd.
The DJs mixing skills were absolutely horrible.
The party goers had become annoyed by the overwhelming screaming that he was doing on the microphone to cover his terrible transitions and music choices. It was clear that the DJ was not in tune with his audience who were sitting, talking and engrossed in their cellular devices. My DJ “spidey senses” were heightened, so I began to ask around to see why this DJ was hired. As I had guessed, the DJ was chosen because he was the cheapest in cost. Shaking my head in disbelief, I did my best to battle through the rest of the night as I empathized with the patrons who had paid over $50 to attend this event. Feeling like the worst night ever, my wife and I finally left after three hours with a deeper belief that you truly “get what you pay for”.
The moral of my story is...
When looking to hire the best DJ in the Charlotte area for a wedding, prom, birthday party or reunion choose Boss Playa Productions for your DJ Services. Never choose cost over quality, because poor quality will cost you more in the end. A quality DJ will always know his audience and knows how to adjust “on the fly” based on their vibe. A quality DJ will not only have quality equipment, but will possess the necessary skills to perform on the equipment to bring your event to life.
Quality may cost you a little more up front, but will pay off for you in the end!

  1. I have been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
